Of your charity

I bid your prayers for Fr. Charles Lindsay, who had to be taken from St. Benedict's to Duke Hospital today with shortness of breath. He was covering for me; I was diagnosed with the flu on Friday night, and could also use your prayers for a speedy recovery.

O Lord, look down from heaven; behold, visit, and relieve thy servants Charles and Robert, priests. Look upon them with the eyes of thy mercy, give them comfort and sure confidence in thee; defend them in all danger, and keep them in perpetual peace and safety; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

P.S. i guess everyones alright? I try not to be impersonal with this internet 'social networking'. I would say one is being rude when not replying--you could send me an e-mail. But i know how NOT social this cyber-world is on others behalf.

I add my own feeble prayers to my ailing brethren, Charles and Robert. Speaking for myself, I am slowly recovering from pneumonia, able to type a little at my computer but still housebound. My thanks for all who have sent greetings, on this blog or privately. I do not enjoy illness and would not make a good invalid or qualify as a successful hypochondriac.
