Patron Mascot

A comment gave me the idea. Scroll down to the bottom and see our Patron Mascot. It is time to give the Platypus his due.

Hurray for Ornithorhynchus anatinus, the world's favorite monotreme. An excellent choice for our patron mascot - rare, shy, and wary.

Well, wouldn't he be a bit tired having swum the Tiber all the way from Australia?

That might be a bit off-putting for him.

I believe the spurs are on the rear feet. I think they don't like being taken by surprise. Wounds their pride, I imagine.

Actually, what it really means is that where they appear vulnerable, they are most ready to defend themselves.
