Hart provide, reflecting and illuminating the Great Tradition of the Catholic Church down through the ages - the true heritage and "patrimony" of every Anglican and, indeed, of every Christian. The redemption of Anglicanism, and for that matter of all western Christendom, which has been so intent on embracing the world, the flesh, and the devil (the real program of "aggiornamento"!)and thus exchanging light for darkness, wisdom for folly, sanity for madness, and life for death, can proceed only on the basis of such teaching.Colin Chattannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18902745.post-37473180851601306132011-03-19T10:06:49.521-04:002011-03-19T10:06:49.521-04:00Much needed light in the churches. Would to God that there was much greater agreement. However,"the moral result of Christ's atoning work” has always seemed weak as conveying what God actually gives us in His Son. Last week's reading from Romans 5 seems clear that the gift is the 'gift of righteousness' that we so desperately need since that is God's unchanging requirement. Does He not provide us with much more in Christ which enables us to reign with Him through grace in this life? "And he showed me a pure river of life, clear as crystal proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb".John Paul Toddnoreply@blogger.com
