This means that there is a religious support system at home and in the neighborhood. This is much like the ethnic communities that were prevalent here in America in the 1800's and early 1900's. The church had a much bigger role in those communities than it does today. It seems to me that as cultures merge (which is generally a good thing) the cultural/spiritual values seem to dilute (which is generally a bad thing). While I am sure that the Islamic clergy will not like this, I think this may just be a matter of them not being there yet.AFS1970noreply@blogger.com
