What hope we have having laid aside pride and having taken the way of penitence falling at Our Risen Lord's feet and worshipping as did the women to whom he appeared!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18902745.post-71654617417643091762007-04-07T14:44:00.000-04:002007-04-07T14:44:00.000-04:00Great preaching, Father!I wish I could be there to...Great preaching, Father!

I wish I could be there to hear it tomorrow. It provokes my usual tomgue-in-cheek comment, "I wish I'd said that!" and it's corrolary, "I probably will." In fact, O've printed off several copies to take with me to an Evanglical-oriented ministry for the 'sexually broken' tonight.

Thank you for your exellent expression of the practical implication of the Resurrection.

edpoetreaderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11613032927883843078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18902745.post-54882339426181482082007-04-07T10:09:00.000-04:002007-04-07T10:09:00.000-04:00And Kalo Pascha to you, Alice. And Kalo Pascha to you, Alice.Albion Landhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14423168351697120421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18902745.post-32026706681513439112007-04-07T09:57:00.000-04:002007-04-07T09:57:00.000-04:00This is excellent and to be taken to heart by all ...This is excellent and to be taken to heart by all faithful followers of Christ our God. They derided us because we did not make worldly happiness the highest goal for ourselves or for others. What is worldly happiness compared to what Saint Peter described in these words?

“'To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you ...'".

True, indeed.

But by taking up our Cross and following the commandments of Our Lord, we are also guaranteed the greatest happiness that this world can afford. No, it is not the perfect joy of Heaven, but it is joy none the less.Albion Landhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14423168351697120421noreply@blogger.com
