UPDATE AUGUST 12, 2019

Please give what you can. We have used every penny raised in this campaign - and more - to meet emergency needs of people who fall between the cracks in our system, mostly food and necessary medicines (the largest amount to the disabled woman I have called an abandonment widow), mostly people whose poverty is due to disability, and who are stuck in the bureaucratic delay of the appeal process. Somehow they are expected to survive on nothing while the paper shuffling and appeal process grinds on. In North Carolina the average appeal process takes two years. This puts on hold income and either Medicaid or Medicare while a disabled person is left somehow to survive, to pay the expenses of shelter, food and medication. Even at special reduced prices, the medication costs add up to a high amount.   CLICK HERE
